KCCI Welcomes Government's Temporary Relaxation Decision on 'Kim Young-ran Act'
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) welcomed the government's decision on the 10th to temporarily raise the gift limit for agricultural, livestock, and fishery products during the Chuseok holiday under the so-called 'Kim Young-ran Act,' which prohibits improper solicitation and the acceptance of money and valuables.
Lee Kyung-sang, Head of the Economic Research Headquarters at KCCI, stated in a press release that "the business community expects this decision to provide significant support to the agricultural, livestock, and fishery industries and distribution sectors affected by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the restraint on hometown visits, consecutive heavy rains, and typhoons."
