Lotte Mart Offers High-Quality 'Chimhyanghwan' at Half Price
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Mart announced on the 10th that it will launch 'Chimhyanghwan' as a private brand (PB) product, reflecting the recent growing interest in health and the increasing demand for related foods.
Chimhyanghwan is a food made by collecting the resin that the Aquilaria tree produces to heal its wounds. Chimhyang has long been known for its effects in boosting energy, enhancing vitality, and calming the mind and body, and is considered one of the three major fragrances (香) along with musk and dragon's blood.
The newly released Chimhyanghwan is part of Lotte Mart's health value-oriented PB ‘Hav’eat’ product line, offered in two sizes: 10 pills and 32 pills. To celebrate Chuseok, the 32-pill size is sold as a gift set. The price for the 32-pill set is 55,000 KRW, which is about 1,700 KRW per pill, roughly half the price of similar products on the market. The 10-pill size product is planned to be available at all stores starting at the end of September.
This year’s first release, ‘Hav’eat Royal Secret Chimhyanghwan,’ is hygienically manufactured in facilities certified by HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards, using more than 13 natural ingredients including chimhyang, deer antler, cornelian cherry, and angelica.
In particular, it uses premium Indonesian chimhyang officially imported under international organization management, and only the highest grade deer antler certified for hygiene and quality by New Zealand’s national quality control system.
