Imsil-gun, Sarangui Yeolmae Volunteer Group Delivers 'Happiness Package'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] The Imshil-gun Sarangui Yeolmae Volunteer Group delivered ‘Happiness Packages’ for low-income families ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The Sarangui Yeolmae Volunteer Group (Leader Jeon Jeomrye) held a delivery ceremony on the 8th at the county office square, attended by County Governor Sim Min, volunteer members, and welfare officers from towns and townships.
This event is a sharing campaign jointly conducted every year by the Jeollabuk-do Social Welfare Community Chest and the Imshil-gun Sarangui Yeolmae Volunteer Group to promote a culture of sharing in the local community and support the living conditions of low-income households in the jurisdiction.
The 360 sets of happiness packages prepared for neighbors in need consist of one set containing one box of 30 rolls of toilet paper and one box of 30 ramen packs.
They are scheduled to be provided to 360 low-income households selected through recommendations by Sarangui Yeolmae volunteer members and welfare officers from towns and townships.
Leader Jeon Jeomrye said, “With neighbors having a harder time due to COVID-19 and typhoons, and with the Chuseok holiday approaching, I am glad to share hope and sharing even if just a little.”
