Grand Prize Awarded to 'Tumitumi' Team
Certificate and 5 Million Won Prize Money Presented
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] KB Kookmin Card announced on the 8th that it awarded outstanding proposals related to the check card university student contest 'Project Persona.'
The contest, held for one month from April 27, invited participants to select one of six virtual characters (personas) presented and propose effective check card products or marketing ideas for the selected customer persona. A total of 397 teams participated.
The submitted proposals were evaluated through a two-stage process: a first-round document screening and a second-round presentation assessment by a judging panel composed of KB Kookmin Card practitioners. The evaluation focused on ▲ originality of the proposal ▲ feasibility of business application ▲ reflection of theme-specific keywords. As a result, six teams were selected as outstanding proposal teams, including one grand prize winner, two excellence award winners, and three merit award winners.
The grand prize-winning team, 'TumiTumi,' proposed a hyper-personalized check card product linked with a mobile application that can identify all necessary information for the customer and suggest customized benefits and reasonable consumption plans, related to the persona of a 30-year-old male early adopter office worker. This proposal received high praise.
The grand prize-winning team was awarded a certificate and a prize of 5 million KRW, along with the privilege to participate in the 'Visa University Marketer Program,' which includes practical training from Visa global marketing staff.
The 'EunGeumDong' team, which proposed marketing strategies along with riding-related products, and the 'NeorangNaranggNorang' team, which suggested products with specialized benefits related to travel and daily life, were selected for the excellence award and received certificates and prizes of 3 million KRW each. A KB Kookmin Card official stated, "Through this contest, it was evident that the main check card customer base, university students, strongly express their beliefs and values through consumption, a trend known as 'meaning out.' They also showed significant demand for 'customizing' not only personalized benefits but also many other elements related to check cards, including design."
