Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education Announces 2021 Teacher Recruitment Examination for Kindergarten, Elementary, and Special Schools
Selection of 13 Public Kindergarten, 90 Elementary, 6 Special (Kindergarten), and 30 Special (Elementary) Students
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 9th the implementation plan for the 2021 academic year public kindergarten, elementary school, and special school (kindergarten and elementary) teacher candidate selection competitive examination.
The planned number of recruits is 13 for kindergarten, 90 for elementary school, and 36 for special schools (6 for kindergarten, 30 for elementary), totaling 139. This is 15 fewer than the previous year's planned recruitment of 154 (10 fewer for kindergarten, 10 fewer for elementary, and 5 more for special elementary).
Applications will be accepted for five days from October 4 to 8 through the Office of Education's online recruitment system. The first exam will be held on November 7, and the second exam will take place over three days from January 13 to 15, 2021. The final successful candidates will be announced on February 2, 2021.

In this exam, some subjects of the new teacher recruitment test will be reorganized to strengthen future competency education in line with changing times from the 2022 academic year. This includes introducing group discussions into the 'In-depth Interview on Teaching Aptitude' and adding teaching aptitude questions to the 'Humanities and Spiritual Cultivation Evaluation.'
