SK Stoa announced on the 8th that it held a ‘Women’s Sanitary Products Donation Ceremony’ at 3 p.m. on the 7th at Haengboknarae located on Seosomun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul.
The donation ceremony, held together with Haengbok Alliance and Updream Korea, was attended by SK Stoa CEO Yoon Seok-am, SK SUPEX Council Chairman of the SV Committee Lee Hyung-hee, Updream Korea CEO Lee Ji-woong, and Haengboknarae Social Value Innovation Director Cho Min-young.
These companies shared the intention to donate sanitary pads to low-income youth in Korea, empathizing with the positive impact of Updream Korea’s ‘Sandeulsandeul’ sanitary pads, which SK Stoa began selling last month. Updream Korea’s ‘Sandeulsandeul’ sanitary pads are ‘good sanitary pads’ where one pack sold results in one pack donated to children in vulnerable groups.
The donation ceremony was conducted in the form of a roundtable discussion to donate approximately 300 million KRW worth of ‘Sandeulsandeul’ sanitary pads through Haengbok Alliance and to discuss the direction of pursuing true social value.
Haengbok Alliance plans to divide the donated sanitary pads into portions sufficient for a total of 2,415 children to use for six months through the nationwide Haengbok Dosirak centers and child and youth centers, together with ‘Warm Day’.
Meanwhile, SK Stoa has also been running branding advertisements focused on social value since September 1.
The advertisements were produced as three videos under the theme ‘Happy Companionship’: a brand promotion video of Seton Bakery, a social enterprise operated by people with intellectual and physical disabilities; a brand promotion video of Updream Korea supporting children domestically and abroad; and a video conveying the meaning of SK Stoa’s pursuit of social value realization and mutual growth.
These videos contain a warm message of ‘creating a tomorrow where we live together’ and introduce social enterprises that pursue the power of coexistence through ‘human kindness (人情) and recognition (認定)’ amid broadcast advertisements mainly focused on commercial ads for large corporations’ products and brand awareness enhancement.
