The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) announced on the 7th at 4 p.m. that Haishen is moving north at 60 km/h about 100 km north-northeast of Sokcho. The central pressure has weakened to 970 hPa, and the maximum wind speed is 30 m/s.
Haishen is expected to make landfall near southwest of Chongjin, North Korea, around 9 p.m. on the same day and then dissipate.
All typhoon warnings except for Ulleungdo, Dokdo, the distant waters of the central East Sea, and the nearshore waters of the central East Sea have been lifted.
Rain will start to stop from the southern regions at night and mostly clear by daytime on the 8th. However, rain is expected to continue in Jeolla Province until night.
Additionally, the KMA emphasized caution as winds will blow very strongly at 50?70 km/h until the 8th in coastal areas, the mountainous regions of Gangwon, and the northeastern mountains of Gyeongbuk to prevent damage.

On the East Coast, storm surges caused by very high waves due to rising sea levels during high tide until the 8th may cause damage to facilities and flooding as seawater flows onto the coast, so caution is advised.
