View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo County, Jeonnam announced that County Governor Lee Dong-jin visited the towns and townships affected by Typhoon ‘Haishen’ on the 7th to assess the situation on site.
Governor Lee conducted an emergency inspection from early morning at sites of crop damage such as rice paddy flooding and lodging caused by heavy rain and strong winds, as well as coastal villages.
Earlier, on the 4th, Jindo County convened an emergency meeting of the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to discuss disaster response and recovery plans by the county office and related agencies.
Additionally, the county entered an emergency duty system and carried out a simultaneous visit by public officials to villages from Monday morning, when the typhoon’s influence began, to ensure rapid communication of the situation and thorough preparation for damage recovery.
Governor Lee Dong-jin stated, “All public officials will focus administrative efforts on the swift restoration of damaged sites in each sector and provide practical assistance to residents to ensure their safety and minimize damage.”
