National Assembly Correspondent Tests Positive for COVID-19... Emergency Quarantine Implemented
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] A reporter covering the National Assembly was confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the 7th. As a result, parts of the National Assembly Main Building, the Members' Office Building, and the Communication Center were closed for emergency disinfection.
The reporter was reportedly at the same location as a photojournalist who tested positive for COVID-19 after covering the Democratic Party of Korea's Supreme Council meeting on the 26th of last month. Although the initial COVID-19 screening test was negative, the reporter was classified as a person under active monitoring and tested positive upon retesting.
