Jin Air Reports Over 540,000 Domestic Passengers in August... Leading the Industry
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Jin Air rose to the top spot in the domestic flight market in August.
According to Jin Air on the 7th, the number of passengers on Jin Air's domestic flights in August reached 545,187, ranking first among domestic airlines. This represents an approximately 73% increase compared to the same period last year (about 315,000 passengers).
In particular, Jin Air transported about 550,000 domestic passengers from July 25 to August 22, the peak summer season with high profitability, achieving about double the performance compared to last summer's peak season (July 20 to August 17). This is Jin Air's highest record for domestic summer peak season.
This is due to Jin Air's aggressive domestic route expansion policy. Starting with the Daegu-Jeju route at the end of April, Jin Air currently operates a total of 13 routes across 9 cities domestically. This is also the largest scale among domestic airlines.
