According to Seoul Metro and the police on the 7th, at around 5:34 a.m., the train operator running on the Line 1 section between Sinseoldong Station and Dongmyo Station reported discovering a corpse on the tracks, leading to a temporary suspension of train operations to conduct a search.
As a result, the southbound Line 1 service from Cheongnyangni to Dongmyo was suspended for about an hour, and northbound operations were also delayed. Train services resumed normally from 6:34 a.m.

Seoul Metro stated, "The identity of the deceased and the exact time of the fatal accident have not been confirmed and have been handed over to the police for investigation." The police said, "The person was in critical condition when found and was transported to the hospital but passed away," adding, "There were also signs of being hit by a train at the time of discovery. The exact cause of death is still under investigation," they said.
