Suwon City Provides Up to 1.5 Million KRW Support for Replacing Restaurant Standing Tables
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province is launching a support project to replace traditional low tables with standing tables in general restaurants.
Suwon City announced on the 7th that it will accept applications until the 18th for a project that partially supports costs when general restaurants replace low tables with standing tables to accommodate elderly and disabled people who have difficulty using low tables.
The support includes ▲ installation of standing tables and chairs (at least 2 sets) ▲ installation of high chairs for infants and toddlers (at least 1) ▲ installation of automatic hand sanitizers inside the establishment (at least 1 unit) ▲ installation of table partitions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (for interested establishments).
The support amount covers 50% of the costs for replacing standing tables, purchasing infant chairs, automatic hand sanitizers, and table partitions, up to a maximum of 1.5 million KRW per establishment.
The city will select recipients through document screening, on-site inspections, and evaluations of appropriateness, effectiveness, and budget feasibility, followed by a decision from the 'Food Promotion Fund Deliberation Committee.'
Applications and detailed information can be found on the Suwon City website (https://www.suwon.go.kr).
