Jin Joong-kwon on Allegations of Pressure for Special Military Treatment for Choo's Son: "They Do All Kinds of Things"
[Asia Economy reporters Seunggon Han and Yeonju Kim] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon criticized, saying "They have done all sorts of things," referring to allegations that there was pressure to select Seo, the son of Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae, who served as a KATUSA during the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, as an interpreter soldier.
On the same day, Jin wrote on his Facebook, "Are they still doing such things?" He added, "As expected from the 'super elite,' they probably consider 'special favors' as a given," and questioned, "As a privileged class, does serving in the military like everyone else hurt their pride?"
He continued, "Fathers' daughters, mothers' sons, dad's chance, mom's chance. These kinds of people become Justice Ministers responsible for the justice of a nation," sarcastically asking, "Is the essence of this also about prosecutorial reform?"
Earlier, on the 4th, Jin also criticized Choo Mi-ae for saying she "did not know" about pressuring for special sick leave during her son's military service.
He pointed out, "It's true that the aide made the call, but Choo Mi-ae didn't know? That makes no sense," and added, "So are you saying that the fact her son wanted leave was telepathically transmitted directly from her son's head to the aide's head without going through Choo Mi-ae?"
