Lotte Department Store, 100% Cashmere Knit Online Pre-Sale... 25% Discount Compared to Regular Price
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Department Store is conducting an online pre-discount sale of the "2020 Lotte Cashmere Fair" on Lotte On, Lotte's online mall, until the 24th. Cashmere 100% knitwear is offered at around 60,000 KRW, a 25% discount from the regular price.
Cashmere refers to the fine wool found on the inner side of the hair of cashmere goats living in high mountain regions. It is lighter than wool but has 6 to 8 times the warmth. Since it is carefully combed out naturally during the molting season of cashmere goats, the production volume is not large, earning it the nickname "jewel of fibers" and making it expensive.
Last year, Lotte Department Store, through over a year of prior planning, purchased a large quantity of cashmere yarn from the Inner Mongolia region of China and collaborated with "Maha Knit," the largest knitwear manufacturer in Korea, to offer 100% cashmere knitwear at around 80,000 KRW, which is about one-fifth the price of famous cashmere knitwear brands on the market. It also set a very unusual sales record of over 60,000 pieces for a single item.
This year, aiming to popularize cashmere to more customers, they increased styles and colors so that the whole family can enjoy it without burden and strengthened pre-purchase benefits.
For example, four styles including the "Unit Cashmere 100% Women's Round Neck Knit" are available at 66,000 KRW after applying the pre-purchase benefit from the regular price of 88,000 KRW, and three styles including the "Unit Cashmere 100% Men's Turtleneck Knit" can be purchased at 73,500 KRW from the regular price of 98,000 KRW.
In particular, the pre-discount sale before Chuseok is perfect for gifts to parents and relatives during the holiday season, and after the pre-sale, at the end of September, they plan to expand cashmere knitwear and outerwear in more diverse styles and colors than last year.
