[Breaking News] 17 Churches in Busan Caught Holding In-Person Services Despite Ban Order
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Gayeon] On the 6th, 17 churches in Busan were caught for forcibly holding in-person worship services.
Busan City announced that, as a result of a joint investigation with the police on 1,765 churches, it was confirmed that 17 churches held in-person worship services.
The city explained that among the churches holding in-person worship, 8 are subject to prosecution, and 9 are subject to assembly prohibition orders.
As part of the social distancing level 2 measures, Busan City had completely banned in-person worship services at local churches until this day.
