Busan City, together with the 'World Expo Pan-Citizen Hosting Committee,' is holding an online event called the '2030 Busan World Expo Hosting Support Challenge.'
This event, held to raise public understanding and interest in hosting the World Expo in Busan, started on the 4th and will run for 24 days until the 27th.
To prevent the spread of COVID-19, participation in the event is only possible online. Support photos can be submitted via the committee's website and the official 2030 Busan World Expo Facebook account.
Among the participants, 100 people will be selected by lottery and announced on September 29 on the committee's website and the official Expo hosting social media (SNS). Winners will receive a 10,000 KRW mobile gift certificate.
Byun Sung-wan, Acting Mayor of Busan, said, "The interest and participation of the entire nation are necessary for the Busan World Expo hosting activities. This event aims to increase understanding and interest in the Expo and spread public consensus."
