[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced on the 5th that there are 168 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea. The total number of confirmed cases is 21,010.

The daily new confirmed cases have remained in the 100s for three consecutive days. Previously, the daily new confirmed cases surged to the 400s on the 27th of last month, then decreased to the 300s for two days on the 28th and 29th, and further dropped to the 200s for four days from the 30th to the 2nd.
The number of severe and critical COVID-19 patients increased by 2, reaching a total of 159.
