One Korean Confirmed COVID-19 Positive at LG Electronics Indonesia Factory
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] It has been reported that one Korean man at LG Electronics' Cibitung factory in Indonesia has also tested positive for COVID-19. More than 240 local workers at this factory have been collectively infected with COVID-19.
According to foreign media on the 4th, employee A from subcontractor H, who participated in the TV line expansion construction at the Indonesian factory, tested positive in a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test on the 29th of last month.
A representative from the Korean construction company explained, "We were told that a negative PCR test result was required to resume construction, so we conducted another PCR test on the 29th, and Korean employee A tested positive. A's wife, daughter, driver, and housekeeper all tested negative in the PCR test." The representative added, "A is self-isolating at home, showing no symptoms, and is awaiting the results of a second PCR test."
