[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] BNK Gyeongnam Bank is conducting a social contribution project to donate gift certificates to underprivileged groups in the region ahead of Chuseok.
The scale of this project is 300 million KRW. Gyeongnam Bank will deliver traditional market gift certificates worth 277 million KRW to 5,500 underprivileged households recommended by each city and county in Gyeongnam and Ulsan City. In addition, 15 million KRW raised from donations by all employees and the bank will be provided as operating expenses to 30 welfare institutions in the Gyeongnam and Ulsan areas.
Gyeongnam Bank expects that supporting traditional market gift certificates will help reduce the burden of Chuseok ancestral rites for the underprivileged while revitalizing the traditional market commercial district.
