Japan Reports 600 New COVID-19 Cases... Over 500 Cases for Three Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Japan's daily new cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have remained in the 500-600 range for three consecutive days.
According to the tally by Japan's public broadcaster NHK as of 8:30 PM on the 3rd, 657 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed nationwide. This brought Japan's cumulative COVID-19 cases to 71,116. The number of new cases in Japan was 633 on the 1st and 596 the previous day.
By region, 211 new cases were confirmed in Tokyo-to, 74 in Osaka-fu, and 81 in Kanagawa-ken on the day.
