Seodaemun-gu Secures 490 Million Won Budget to Distribute 35 KF-94 Masks Each (640,000 Masks) to Over 18,000 Vulnerable Individuals
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) announced that starting from the 3rd, it will distribute KF-94 masks to low-income vulnerable groups to protect the health of residents from COVID-19 and fine dust.
The recipients include 16,500 basic livelihood security recipients and near-poverty class residents in the area, 260 children residing in social welfare facilities, and 980 residents and workers in social welfare living facilities, totaling about 18,000 people.
The district will provide a total of 640,000 masks, 35 masks per person, through the community service centers.
Earlier, in March of this year when the mask shortage occurred, the district urgently supported 20,000 masks to about 5,000 vulnerable residents in the area, and this time secured a budget of 490 million won to proceed with distribution.

Moon Seok-jin, Mayor of Seodaemun-gu, said, “We will quickly distribute masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” and added, “We ask all residents to actively participate in making mask-wearing a daily habit out of consideration for themselves, their families, and neighbors.”
