Nowon-gu Produces and Distributes 'Village Community Facility Status Map' of Our Neighborhood
Created an Easy-to-View Map Showing the Status of Village Community Facilities... Includes Information on 15 Village Communities, 4 Social Economy Sites, 27 Public and Small Libraries, and 5 Facilities Preparing to Open, Totaling 51 Locations
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Nowon-gu (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) is producing and distributing a ‘Village Community Facility Status Map’ containing information on 51 village community facilities within the district.
This status map was created in an easy-to-view map format to provide convenience to residents using the facilities and to improve accessibility by showing the status of village community facilities within the area at a glance.
The map includes a total of 51 facilities: ▲ 15 village community facilities such as Surak Happiness Power Plant ▲ 4 social economy facilities such as Nowon Social Economy Support Center ▲ 7 public libraries such as Sanggye Cultural Information Library ▲ 20 small libraries such as Pureun Forest Small Library ▲ 5 facilities preparing to open such as Hagye Eoullim Center.
The status map was produced in two formats: a general poster-style map and a portable folding map. The front side of the folding map shows the names and locations of the facilities on the map, while the back side contains detailed information such as addresses and phone numbers for each facility.
The district plans to produce a total of 1,200 copies and place them in the district office civil service center, each neighborhood community center, and related institutions, distributing them free of charge.
Meanwhile, the village community spaces, which have been operating 15 locations since the first opening in 2015, are open to all residents and offer facilities such as book cafes, childcare rooms, and community spaces that can be used freely, resulting in particularly high resident satisfaction.
Currently, due to COVID-19, all facilities except ‘Store 36.5’ and ‘Maeulgwa Madi’ are closed, but preparations are underway to reopen once the spread of COVID-19 subsides.
