[Breaking] After Nepalese Woman... 17 People Infected in Group at Kimchi Factory in Cheongyang, Chungnam
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] A cluster outbreak of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) occurred at a kimchi factory in Bibong-myeon, Cheongyang, Chungnam.
According to Cheongyang County on the 3rd, a total of 17 confirmed cases have been identified so far.
Following the confirmation of a woman in her 20s of Nepalese nationality the previous day, 16 additional employees of the kimchi factory tested positive on the same day.
They were classified as close contacts of the confirmed woman and tested positive during facility quarantine.
After the Nepalese female employee at the factory was confirmed positive, the county quarantined 26 close contacts identified through epidemiological investigation at a facility.
