Daegu City activated the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, composed of 52 members at the main office and 877 members from district and county offices, starting at 3 PM when the typhoon advisory took effect, establishing an emergency duty system.
The Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters requested safety announcement broadcasts for residents through 1,352 apartment complex management offices in the area and showed urgent activity by remotely monitoring underpasses and steep slopes in real time.
The quarantine authorities suspended operations at the Dongdaegu Station Walk-Through Screening Clinic from that day until the 3rd when the typhoon passes, and dismantled five outdoor tents at hospital screening clinics. The Daegu Fire Headquarters expanded the number of reporting reception centers from 16 to 26. Meanwhile, the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education shortened classes at frontline schools until 3 PM on the 2nd and delayed school start times to 10 AM on the 3rd, one hour later than usual.
In Gyeongbuk, except for Ulleungdo (under typhoon advisory), 22 cities and counties entered the typhoon warning zone at 10 PM that day.

In Gyeongbuk, 72 residents from 38 households, including 7 households (11 people) in Daedongbae District, Pohang, evacuated in advance to prepare for landslides and flooding.
