Mokpo National Maritime University Awards Special COVID-19 Scholarships
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] Mokpo National Maritime University (President Park Seong-hyun) announced on the 2nd that it will provide a 'COVID-19 Special Scholarship' to reduce the tuition burden on enrolled students caused by COVID-19 and to create stable academic conditions.
Based on the results of a survey conducted from the 14th to the 19th of last month targeting enrolled students and internal consultations, the criteria for scholarship payment were established, and special scholarships for the 2020 academic year will be provided.
The recipients are students who have paid tuition for the first semester and whose first semester grades have been finalized. The amount paid will support 10% of the actual tuition paid (excluding national scholarships), but students who receive full national scholarship support are not eligible for the special scholarship.
Based on this, approximately 244 million won in scholarships will be provided to enrolled students.
