[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] MINI Korea announced on the 2nd that it has introduced an electronic contract system called the ‘Digital Sales Platform’ and has been fully implementing it at 21 showrooms nationwide since the 1st.

MINI Korea’s Digital Sales Platform is an electronic contract system that completely replaces the existing paper-based service method. All kinds of paper documents required for test drives or contracts are replaced with electronic documents, and document verification, signing, storage, and delivery are integrated and managed through mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones, providing a much simpler purchasing process.

According to MINI Korea, the digital platform is also useful for non-face-to-face contracts. When electronic document links such as personal information consent forms or contracts are sent to the customer’s mobile phone, the customer can remotely review, sign, and submit the documents without meeting the salesperson in person. This enables more effective service support in situations requiring social distancing due to busy daily lives, consumer trends accustomed to mobile platforms, and the impact of COVID-19.

Additionally, by digitizing the entire process, it prevents contract condition discrepancies and document omissions that may occur with paper contracts, thereby increasing trust with customers. Another advantage is that various information such as product materials and arrival schedules can all be checked with a single dedicated tablet, improving the quality of service.
