On the same day, Park said in an interview with YTN Radio's 'Start New Morning,' "It seems many people were quite surprised by this unconventional appointment."
He added, "I will work hard and ask to be evaluated by the results," and emphasized, "There are concerns that I might feel intimidated because I am the youngest. However, I am not here to be displayed, and when I was offered this position, I understood that I was not appointed with such an intention."
He continued, "I will also communicate honestly and openly with Representative (Lee Nak-yeon). In that regard, it seems that all members of the leadership are well prepared," adding, "Practically, as a member of the leadership, I will represent the voices of youth and women while fulfilling my role as a politician, and I believe I will receive a lot of support in doing so."
Regarding JTBC's report that former Chungnam Governor Ahn Hee-jung's aides were unable to join Representative Lee's election camp due to opposition from Ahn's side, Park said, "If there is still secondary harm within the party, I think this is something that must be continuously corrected. I believe that no form of secondary harm should be tolerated within our party."
Meanwhile, on the 31st, JTBC reported that Moon, a key aide to former Governor Ahn, was set to serve as the head of the situation management team in Representative Lee's election camp but was notified of a reassignment after four days due to protests from Ahn's acquaintances.
In response, former Dongyang University professor Jin criticized, "Representative Lee is a leading presidential candidate of the Democratic Party. This is an incident where someone sided with a sexual harasser in the camp of such a person and gave personnel disadvantages to someone who bravely testified for the victim," adding, "Representative Lee showed off all kinds of gestures by appointing a female college student today? It was all just a show."
He further condemned, "Outwardly, they pretend to respect women's rights, but the truth is that those who truly respect women's rights are being oppressed in the unseen parts of that camp."
