[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] Icheon City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 1st that two additional confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have occurred.
According to Icheon City, two people (Icheon City cases 25 and 26), including an infant living with the confirmed mother at the residential treatment center and a family member of the confirmed patient, were newly diagnosed with COVID-19.
The 80-year-old Icheon City case 25 is the mother of Icheon City case 21, who had contact with a confirmed patient in Gangdong-gu. She had been in quarantine since the 24th of last month and was confirmed positive without any additional contacts or movement paths.
The Icheon City case 26, a child under 10 years old, was admitted to the Icheon Residential Treatment Center (Gyeonggi-do Education and Training Institute) on the 27th of last month with her mother, Pyeongtaek City case 73, and was confirmed infected while staying there.
