"Full Rent Exemption Until Year-End for 24 Small Business Tenants in Mining Complex"
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Coal Corporation announced on the 1st that it will fully waive rent until the end of the year to share the pain of small business owners in mining areas affected by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Coal Corporation, in consultation with the labor union, decided to provide a 100% rent exemption until the end of the year for 24 small business owners operating in facilities owned by its affiliated mining sites.
Prior to this, the Coal Corporation donated 30% of the monthly salaries of its executives for four months to overcome COVID-19. It also donated up to 10% of the management evaluation performance bonuses of all employees.
