Kia Motors Sells 216,945 Units in August... 5.2% Decrease Year-on-Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] Hyundai Motor Company (Hyundai Motor) announced on the 1st that it sold a total of 216,945 vehicles in August. This is a 5.2% decrease compared to the previous year.
In the domestic market, 38,463 units were sold, and in overseas markets, 178,482 units were sold, representing decreases of 11.3% and 3.7% respectively compared to the previous year.
The decrease in sales volume was due to a reduction in supply caused by the reorganization construction of some lines at the Hwaseong plant.

A Kia Motors official stated, "We will overcome difficulties by leading with competitive new models such as the 4th generation Carnival launched last month and the Sorento gasoline 2.5 turbo model scheduled for release in the second half of the year."
