A Woman in Her 50s Dies While Harvesting Seaweed Near Seongsan, Jeju
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Seogwipo Coast Guard Station (Chief Do Gi-beom) announced that on the morning of the 1st, they rescued Ms. A (female in her 50s), who fell into the water while harvesting seaweed near Goseong-ri, Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo, and transported her to a hospital, but she passed away.
According to Seogwipo Coast Guard, at around 10:07 AM today, they received a report from a nearby resident that a woman, Ms. A, was floating on the water near Goseong-ri, Seongsan-eup. The Seogwipo Coast Guard dispatched to the scene and, around 10:46 AM, jointly with the fire department, rescued Ms. A and transported her to a hospital located in Jeju City, but she ultimately died.
