The Korea Financial Industry Employers' Association and the National Financial Industry Labor Union announced on the 31st, "To prevent the resurgence of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) and to protect financial consumers and financial workers from infection, we have decided to temporarily shorten the operating hours of banks in the metropolitan area."
Both organizations held a meeting late in the afternoon and agreed to temporarily shorten the operating hours of banks in the metropolitan area in line with social distancing measures.
Accordingly, the operating hours of bank branches in the metropolitan areas including Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon will be reduced by one hour, changing from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM to 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
