Hana Financial Group Invests Total of 3.5 Billion Won Including Support Funds to Purchase Aging Private Daycare in Eungam 3-dong; Plans to Build a 3-Story, 429㎡ Public Daycare Center with Opening Target in March 2023
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) signed a business agreement with Hana Financial Group on the 26th to support public daycare centers.
Attending the agreement ceremony were Mayor Kim Mi-kyung, Park Kyung-ho, Head of Hana Bank's Northwest Region, Lim Sang-jin, Head of Hana Bank's Eunpyeong-Sangam Region Headquarters, and two branch managers of Hana Bank.
This public project is a collaboration between Hana Financial Group and local governments to address the low birthrate issue and increase women's economic participation by promoting the construction of public daycare centers. According to the agreement, Eunpyeong-gu will receive 802 million KRW in project funds from Hana Financial Group.
Eunpyeong-gu plans to invest a total of 3.5 billion KRW, including the support funds from Hana Financial Group, to purchase an old private daycare center located in Eungam 3-dong and build a new public daycare center with a total floor area of 429㎡ and three floors, aiming to open in March 2023.

Mayor Kim Mi-kyung and Hana Financial Group stated, "Through this agreement to expand support for public daycare centers, we will strengthen the public nature of childcare, create a stable childcare environment, improve the quality of childcare services, promote work-family balance, address the low birthrate issue, improve employment conditions, and strive for balanced regional development."
