Meanwhile, Kim Hyun-mi, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, stated that she "has not read" the Simu7jo petition.
On the same day, Minister Kim responded this way to a question from Song Seok-jun, a member of the Future United Party, at the National Assembly Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, asking, "Have you read the Simu7jo memorial letter that has become a topic of public discussion?"
Rep. Song said, "Each phrase of the Simu7jo memorial letter addresses the flawed housing policies. Are you aware of this?" He criticized, "As the whole world is boiling over these housing policies, the minister must understand and read public sentiment to properly implement policies." In response to Song's question, "Are you willing to read Simu7jo?" Minister Kim replied, "I will."
Rep. Kim Eun-hye of the United Party pointed out, "Do you know how the minister is described in Simu7jo?" and asked, "What kind of message do you think the author wanted to convey to the minister by writing such a letter?" To this question, Minister Kim answered, "I don't know because I haven't seen it."
Rep. Kim criticized, "The minister's appointment standard called the 'New Normal' is being a one-homeowner. Simu7jo mocks that holding one home, not ability, is the criterion for ministerial appointments."
A petition titled "Jinin (塵人) Jo Eun-san submits a memorial requesting seven urgent matters, humbly asking for your gracious consideration," was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board on the 12th. The petitioner, introducing himself as 'Jo Eun-san,' borrowed the format of old memorial letters such as 'Simu 10-jo' and 'Simu 28-jo' to criticize the Moon Jae-in administration's real estate, tax, personnel, and economic policies.
The petitioner strongly criticized Minister Kim, saying, "Some ministers have seen house prices rise by 1.1 billion won, yet you are spouting the crazy claim that current prices have only risen by 11%." Taking the first letters of this part spells out 'Hyun-mi,' the minister's name.
On the 24th, Jo Eun-san posted another memorial letter-style petition, urging, "Replace Minister Kim with a crucian carp."
In a post titled "Jinin Jo Eun-san respectfully submits a memorial letter of Geocheonsamseok in the spirit of the New Normal," posted on the 24th, he sarcastically wrote, "Since Kim Hyun-mi took the position of head of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, she has issued twenty-two policies but failed each time, mocking the people with excuses like 'fifty steps back, a hundred steps back,' and she cannot even remember whether it was twenty-two or four times. Please dismiss Kim Hyun-mi and appoint a crucian carp in her place."

He added, "A crucian carp basically has almost no brain and forgets what it did, ate, or intended to do within three seconds, so what difference is there between it and the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport who keeps repeating the same actions? Furthermore, I dare to assert that the crucian carp will only eat the feed given and breathe by opening its gills, so all further regulatory policies will disappear from this country, allowing the market to move on its own power, absorb listings, and restore stability to the real estate market."
