Gyeonggi Office of Education, 'AI Training' for Teachers
[Asia Economy (Uijeongbu) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will conduct an 'Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education Course' training for 120 elementary and secondary school teachers in the province from the 31st of this month to the 20th of next month.
This training, conducted in collaboration with the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, will be held in a real-time interactive online format to prevent COVID-19. The education covers understanding basic AI concepts, the meaning and importance of AI data, and designing teaching and learning methods using AI education platforms.
In particular, the training focuses on enabling smooth application in school settings by understanding basic AI concepts and theories through simple practical exercises.
The Gyeonggi Office of Education will also conduct an advanced AI education course training starting in October.

This training was planned in accordance with the Ministry of Education's 'Comprehensive Plan for Science, Mathematics, Information, and Convergence Education' and the 'National AI Software Education Expansion Plan' announced by the Presidential Committee on the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
