Jeonnam Province Builds 'Integrated Spatial Information System'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province announced on the 30th that it will begin building an integrated spatial information system to strengthen map-based administrative services by January next year.
This project, with a total budget of 500 million KRW, aims to consolidate all real estate-related information into one spatial information system, establishing a user-centered spatial information utilization framework.
The province plans to integrate six currently operated spatial information systems?including aerial imagery spatial information, spatial information participation platform, island management, and investment attraction support?into a single integrated platform that combines location-based spatial information and administrative information.
In particular, through the revamp of the spatial information participation platform website, real-time linkage of land information and the discovery and development of additional content will be pursued to enhance convenience and accessibility for residents.
This is expected to improve work efficiency and enable faster policy decisions.
Alongside this, as demand for drone-captured video information increases for various development projects, a drone operation management system will be established for systematic management, and a time-series video service will be implemented to allow users to easily observe urban changes through annually accumulated aerial images.
Once the system overhaul is complete, it is anticipated to bring benefits such as enhanced security of the operating environment, user-centered administrative service support, and significant reduction in maintenance costs.
Furthermore, based on the integrated platform, plans will be made to establish interdepartmental information sharing and collaboration systems and explore additional spatial information content development strategies.
