3 Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Gwangju Linked to Gwanghwamun Rally and Church
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] In Gwangju, three people related to the Gwanghwamun rally and a church tested positive for COVID-19, increasing the total number of confirmed cases in the region to 365.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 30th, a man in his 20s living in Yangsan-dong, Buk-gu, a man in his 60s living in Duam-dong, Buk-gu, and a woman in her 50s living in Yudong, Buk-gu, were confirmed positive yesterday and classified as Gwangju cases 363 to 365.
Cases 363 and 365 were confirmed to be related to the Gwanghwamun rally, while case 364 was investigated as related to Seongnim Baptist Church in Buk-gu.
Case 365 tested positive in a test conducted before the end of self-quarantine.
Meanwhile, among the 365 confirmed cases reported so far in the Gwangju area, 315 are local infections and 50 are overseas entrants.
Among them, 2 have died and 236 have completed treatment and been released from quarantine. The remaining 127 are receiving isolated treatment.
