Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in Japan increased to 68,200. The number of deaths increased by 10, bringing the total to 1,284.
The daily new confirmed cases in Japan recorded 1,034 on the 21st of this month, and then remained below 1,000 for eight consecutive days from the 22nd to the 29th. This is the longest period of maintaining fewer than 1,000 cases per day this month.
