[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] On Saturday the 29th, the entire country will be mostly cloudy with rain falling in various places nationwide, including Jeju Island.
Expected rainfall until morning is 30-80mm along the southern coast of Jeollanam-do and 5-30mm in Yeongnam. Jeju Island, where heavy rain is forecast, is expected to receive 30-80mm (over 120mm in the mountainous areas of Jeju) by night.
From the evening, 30-80mm (over 100mm in some areas) of rain is expected in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Gangwon-do (excluding the East Coast), and northern Chungcheong.
Inland areas nationwide may experience showers of 20-60mm in the afternoon. The East Coast of Gangwon-do will see 5-30mm of rain from afternoon through night. The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "Due to the weakened ground from heavy rain caused by the typhoon, please be cautious of flooding in low-lying areas and farmland, as well as landslides caused by strong rain again."
Morning low temperatures will range from 23 to 26 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will be between 29 and 34 degrees Celsius. Some areas in inland Chungcheong, the southern regions, and Jeju Island will see daytime temperatures exceeding 33 degrees. High humidity across most regions will cause the heat index to surpass 33 degrees, continuing the heatwave. Tropical nights will persist nationwide.
