Cable, IPTV, and Satellite Broadcasts to Air 'EBS Online School Opening'
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] The government has made EBS broadcasts available through all paid broadcasting services for elementary and middle school students who will be taking remote classes due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The period during which EBS can be viewed through paid broadcasting services is two weeks, from the 31st of this month to September 11th.
On the 28th, a Ministry of Science and ICT official stated, "Elementary and middle school students in households subscribed to paid broadcasting can watch online special lectures on computers, laptops, and televisions without additional costs," adding, "This will be especially helpful for lower-grade students who have difficulty operating computers and students from multi-child households."
The Ministry of Science and ICT also supported the provision of EBS educational content through paid broadcasting services in cooperation with paid broadcasters during the unprecedented online school opening in April due to COVID-19.
