[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Iksan City, Jeonbuk, is expanding the scope of support so that various citizens can receive sewerage usage fee reduction benefits to revitalize the struggling local economy due to COVID-19.
On the 27th, the city announced that it has revised the regulations on sewerage usage fee reductions to provide benefits reflecting the needs of various social groups.
Accordingly, vulnerable groups such as families with three or more children, persons with disabilities, and recipients of basic national livelihood security will be eligible for a reduction on sewerage usage up to 10㎥.
Additionally, families with six or more children will have the reduction expanded up to 30㎥, aiming to encourage childbirth by providing practical benefits to large families.
Furthermore, to promote resource recycling, those using rainwater facilities, reclaimed water, or reused water will be eligible for up to a 30% reduction in sewerage usage fees.
The city will also provide a 50% reduction in sewerage usage fees for areas designated as public sewerage usage start zones where domestic wastewater does not flow into public sewage treatment facilities.
Families wishing to receive the reduction benefits can download the application form from the city’s Water and Sewage Business Division website and submit it. For more details, inquiries can be made to the Sewerage Division.
