"Contactless is the Trend"... Paris Baguette Strengthens 'Baro Pickup' Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Paris Baguette announced on the 27th that it will strengthen the 'Baro Pickup' service of its own delivery service, Pava Delivery, in line with the spread of non-face-to-face consumption culture.
The Baro Pickup service allows consumers to pre-order and pre-pay for desired products through the application, and then pick up the products immediately at the store without ordering or waiting.
Paris Baguette is diversifying channels to enhance convenience for customers using the Baro Pickup service. Since introducing the Baro Pickup service at the launch of Pava Delivery in September 2018, it partnered with Yogiyo's pickup service 'Takeout' in February this year, and started a partnership with Baemin Order, the pickup service of Baedal Minjok, in July.
The expansion of channels for Paris Baguette's Baro Pickup service has also led to an increase in orders. Usage during morning hours increased by nearly 30% compared to the previous month. It is analyzed that the pickup service spread mainly in office districts as it minimizes the time spent inside the store when using the service.
Looking at products, pickup purchases of meal replacement products such as bread, focaccia, sandwiches, and home meal replacements (HMR) increased significantly by more than 30% compared to the previous month. Among them, the 'Sangmijong Fresh Bread' released in May surpassed 1.5 million units in cumulative sales within about three months of its launch, as word of mouth spread on social media that it is delicious when torn apart whole or cut into thick slices.

Meanwhile, delivery orders for Pava Delivery increased by more than 50% compared to July. This was supported by continuously enhancing customer convenience, such as introducing the 'Freshly Baked Bread' service that provides real-time information on products produced within one hour at each store, allowing customers to order immediately.
