[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ga-yeon] On the 26th, Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced that A, a first-year student at Jukjeon High School, tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
A was classified as a contact of B (Yongin case number 131), who was confirmed positive on the 11th at the same school, tested negative in the first test, and entered self-quarantine from the 12th.
During the quarantine period, A showed no particular symptoms but tested positive in the second test conducted before the quarantine was lifted.
Earlier, on the 11th, after three first-year students at Jukjeon High School, including B, and one first-year student at Daeji High School were confirmed positive, the infection spread, increasing the cumulative confirmed cases related to the two schools to 17 over the course of half a month.
