Seoul City-LG HelloVision, 'Online Job Mentoring' for Job Seekers
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Seoul Volunteer Center announced on the 27th that it will hold a pro bono matching day, 'Raenseon Job Talk,' to share job experience and knowledge to help young people whose opportunities for social advancement have narrowed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Employees of companies or institutions have the opportunity to share their job expertise with young people, organize their own job roles, and reflect on their current selves. At the same time, young people can indirectly experience jobs through pro bono activities, consult about their concerns, and set their career directions.
Following the event on the 26th, on the 28th, 16 employees from LG HelloVision's Seoul headquarters and Busan branch will meet with about 80 young people aged 19 to 34 in an 'Ontact' (online face-to-face) format without location or time constraints to discuss 14 fields including broadcasting and telecommunications.
The mentoring fields include broadcasting and telecommunications systems, local channel reporters, online broadcasting production PDs, media planning (program production and scheduling), as well as general job roles such as management support, human resources, business planning, online content planning, management planning, finance (accounting, banking), big data, CSR, IT planning, development, public relations, and sales management, totaling 15 fields. One pro bono mentor is matched with 4 to 6 university students per job field for a 60-minute session.
