Gunsan City Reports Two Consecutive COVID-19 Confirmed Cases
Emphasizing Personal Hygiene Compliance as the Key to Safety
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Tae-in] Gunsan City, Jeonbuk, has emphasized the importance of adhering to personal hygiene rules as a large number of Gunsan citizens who had contact with confirmed cases have been identified.
According to the city on the 26th, A (in his 40s), the 20th confirmed case in Gunsan, who was infected after contact with a company colleague (Jeonbuk case number 77), visited a screening clinic on the 24th after his colleague tested positive, underwent testing, and was confirmed positive at around 8:20 PM on the 25th.
B (in his 20s), the 21st confirmed case in Gunsan, who was infected after contact with the previous 18th confirmed case in Gunsan, was asymptomatic and visited a screening clinic on the 24th for testing, receiving a positive result at around 10:30 PM on the 25th. B was identified as an additional infection originating from the Sarang Jeil Church in Seoul.
A is currently hospitalized in the isolation ward of Gunsan Medical Center, and B is scheduled to be admitted to the isolation ward of Gunsan Medical Center at around 2 PM on the 26th.
The city has checked CCTV footage of their homes and visited locations to conduct disinfection and has carried out testing and self-quarantine measures for contacts. Additionally, by verifying mobile phone GPS, card usage history, DUR, and CCTV of visited places, the city plans to immediately conduct disinfection if additional movement paths are identified.
