View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Masan University in Gyeongnam announced on the 26th that it held a joint workshop with the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Advisory Committee under the theme of ‘Review of Gyeongnam’s Provincial Government Innovation and Future Tasks.’
The workshop held on the 25th was the fourth event organized by the Social Innovation Subcommittee of the Provincial Government Advisory Committee, chaired by Professor Lee Han-gi, a special professor at Masan University.
With participation from each subcommittee member and related experts, an in-depth discussion was held on the review of the provincial government innovation efforts in Gyeongnam so far and the future tasks ahead.
The first presenter, Professor Jang Yu-mi of the Department of Social Welfare at Changshin University, explained the socio-economic environmental changes domestically and internationally along with the digital economy, proposing the establishment of a regional economic platform applying social economy organizations.
The second presenter, Ha Tae-gyun, Team Leader of the Special Zone Technology Support Team at the Korea Internet & Security Agency, introduced the necessity of blockchain technology in response to changing times and major domestic and international blockchain policies, emphasizing the need to expand blockchain for a hyper-connected and contactless trusted society.

Lee Han-gi, the subcommittee chair who moderated the discussion, said, “Based on today’s presentations and discussions, I hope a Gyeongnam-type blockchain development model will be created that improves the efficiency and usability of blockchain-based public services and provides administrative and financial services applicable to everyday life.”
