The recipients include a total of 172 establishments across 8 industries within Gijang-gun: entertainment bars, karaoke bars, colatecs, singing practice rooms, indoor group exercise facilities, direct sales promotion centers, buffets, and PC rooms.
Eligible recipients must have both their business location and representative's address registered in Gijang-gun by August 25, and the facilities must have ceased operations from the 21st to the 31st of this month in accordance with Busan City's assembly ban administrative order.
Applicants must fill out an application form, a consent form for the collection and use of personal information, and a consent form for administrative information joint use, and bring their business registration certificate and a copy of their bankbook to visit the relevant departments (Culture and Tourism Division, Environmental Hygiene Division, Job Economy Division) to apply. Applications are accepted for two months from the 27th until October 26th.
Oh Gyu-seok, the head of Gijang-gun, stated, "We conducted on-site inspections of high-risk facilities in the district that were shut down by Busan City's administrative order. Business owners pleaded desperately for help, saying they do not even have money to pay for electricity and rent."
Mayor Oh emphasized, "Busan City and the central government must promptly prepare livelihood support measures for business owners who are facing severe difficulties due to the administrative order."
Gijang-gun proactively responded by implementing strong quarantine measures equivalent to social distancing level 3 nationwide starting from the 18th.
