Busan City is conducting the "2020 Social Economy Enterprises Online Public Purchase Fair (60-Second Public Challenge ON-AIR)" which started on the 25th and will run until September 1.
The online public purchase fair was organized to promote the purchase of social economy enterprise products and facilitate their entry into the public market.
The event is hosted by Busan City and jointly organized by the Busan Social Economy Support Center, Busan Social Economy Distribution Center, and Social Economy Busan Network.
Since July, Busan City has completed webpage construction, recruitment of participating companies, and the creation of online content (webpages) for each company. For eight days until the 1st of next month, connections and feedback between public institutions and companies will be conducted through the Busan Social Economy Distribution Center website.
More than 40 institutions, including Busan City, district and county offices, city-affiliated corporations and public organizations, and investment and foundation institutions, along with 54 social economy enterprises, are participating in the non-face-to-face online public purchase fair.
Under the subtitle "60-Second Public Challenge ON-AIR," companies provide content such as product introductions, portfolios, and qualification document status to purchasing public institutions within 60 seconds.
The core of this online fair is twofold. First, public institutions meet one-on-one with social economy enterprises focusing on purchasable items through the webpage.
Second, social economy enterprises can introduce their products and services online to public institutions and receive practical feedback.
Lee Yoon-jae, Busan City's Public Livelihood and Labor Policy Officer, said, "Although many social economy enterprises are facing difficulties due to COVID-19, the willingness of public institutions participating in the online fair will be a great support for social economy enterprises," adding, "We expect that online survey participation for matched companies by each institution will serve as an opportunity to activate purchases."
