POSCO Inter, Participates in 'Thanks to Challenge'... "Gratitude to COVID-19 Quarantine Medical Staff"

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Employees of POSCO International expressed their gratitude to medical staff who are working tirelessly to prevent the resurgence of COVID-19.

POSCO International (hereinafter POSCO Inter) announced on the 26th that President Ju Sibo and employees participated in the 'Thanks Challenge' to encourage COVID-19 medical personnel. In particular, by involving some global staff leveraging the characteristics of a global integrated business company, they added significance to their hope for overcoming the global crisis.

The 'Thanks Challenge' is a public participation campaign initiated by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, where participants post photos and messages on social networking services (SNS) showing the sign language gesture expressing respect for domestic medical staff, and then nominate the next participants. POSCO Inter, nominated by POSCO Management Research Institute, participated in the Thanks Challenge and nominated the welfare organization Global Vision and the national bobsleigh and skeleton team as the next participants.

Global Vision is a corporate welfare organization supported by POSCO Inter since 2015, conducting various activities to help middle school immigrant youths in the Incheon area adapt to society. The national bobsleigh and skeleton team has a special connection with POSCO Inter, which first sponsored the team in 2011 and shared joy when the team won medals at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics.

President Ju said, "I express deep respect and gratitude for the dedication of medical staff who are working day and night on the front lines," adding, "We will continue to strictly follow quarantine and prevention guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19 and support the local community."
