[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Seo Young-seo] According to the '2020 First Half Regional Employment Survey' released by Statistics Korea on the 25th, Sinan-gun in Jeonnam showed the highest employment rate at 76.6% among the counties and cities.
Looking at the employment rates in Jeollanam-do for the first half of 2020 by county and city, Sinan-gun (76.6%), Goheung-gun (74.6%), and Haenam-gun (74.3%) ranked highest, while Mokpo-si (55.5%), Suncheon-si (59.7%), and Muan-gun (60.7%) ranked lowest.
Regarding the number of employed persons, while the nationwide cities and counties both decreased by -2.1%, Jeonnam showed the highest numbers in Yeosu-si (142,000 people), Suncheon-si (136,000 people), and Mokpo-si (108,000 people).
